Why Inner Art?

Where did we come from & where are we going? 

A nifty little play on words: Inner+Art+Tuition=Intuition. Intuition: instinctive feeling rather than conscious reasoning. So it’s all about that, but also more than that! Let’s start with a little background, including the beginnings of Inner Art Studio...

“I need space”

I’d neglected my own art practice whilst working as an art teacher, competing in martial arts, and looking after my young children. Crisis point had been reached and I had to find a peaceful, safe and light place to create art! Serendipity reigned, one connection led to another, and the current Inner Art Studio premises was found! Have a look at these old photos of the studio in its early days!   

“We need to get together!” 

It was great... light, bright and peaceful, and my own artwork was flowing again. I was teaching wonderful art students in their individual homes and Inner Art Studio became the perfect place to bring them together. We’re part of something bigger than just ourselves, Art connects us to it and to each other. Inner Art Tuition started to grow.

“There has be more ways to connect”

Amazing parents were getting in touch, full of desire for art to be formative in their children’s development. But all my tuition spaces were full! I knew there were excellent artists out there, who were also passionate & experienced art teachers, it was just a case of bringing them together with our Inner Art Students. Our Inner Art Tutor team grew ... I’m forever grateful for their wisdom and input into Inner Art Tuition. 

“Let’s continue to bring our vision to life ”

We nurture, we share and we teach. We appreciate, we laugh and we grow. And at the heart of Inner Art Tuition are core values which are our guiding light along the way. These values are formulated not only from our own personal art journeys, but from the great art traditions which have been passed on down through the centuries by artists. "And now?"

So back to ‘Inner Art Tuition’ and intuition. In the quiet moments, away from the buzz of everyday life we can tune into our instinctive feelings. When we honour these, putting aside conscious reasoning, we access visions, find our path, and create our lives as surely as we can create a work of art. And this is what we're doing at Inner Art... bringing visions to life. Thank you to all those who are part of the creative process with us.
