We're a very lucky art studio. Our tutor team at Inner Art embrace the idea of art as integral to our existence. As well as being practicing artists, we have a wealth of hands on teaching experience, and feel immensely privileged to be able to share our passion with our students and wider community.

Hannah Wiggins-Thirkill

Hannah Wiggins-Thirkill

Hannah studied at Wimbledon School of Art and Roehampton University. Her background as a production designer and illustrator for film informs her exploratory art practice. A member of the Dorking Group of Artists, she specialises in documenting contemporary landscape, working in oils and mixed media drawing and has exhibited in group shows in Oxford, Surrey and London since 2002.

Hannah has taught Fine Art and Photography to students aged 11-18 at Rosebery School in Epsom for 10 years, alongside designing and delivering adult life drawing courses and 1:1 tuition for students of all ages with Inner Art Tuition. She has worked as a GCSE Art Moderator for six years, and taught Art in a specialist speech & language setting.

​Hannah has two small children and delights in observing and encouraging the development of visual literacy from the very start of our lives as art-makers.

Amie Antoniak

Amie Antoniak

Amie is a professional artist. After graduating from art college in Cardiff in 2003 with a BA Hons in Fine Art Amie opened her own art gallery in York where she sold her paintings and supported other local artists.

​Amie taught art workshops at her gallery including painting on canvas, collage and life drawing, and she continues to sell her artwork at contemporary art fairs, local galleries, and online.

Amie currently lives in Reigate with her family and two young children. She loves to connect with those who love and appreciate art, and works with local primary school children, GCSE students and adult learners. ​By sharing art happiness and creativity in an accessible and genuine way, Amie is an inspiration and great support to many.

Jo-Anne Kennedy

Jo-Anne Kennedy

After completing her Art Foundation at Winchester Art College, Jo studied 3D Design & Ceramics at Bath Spa University and completed her Art & Design PGCE in Brighton. 
 
Jo is an experienced Art teacher, specialising in ceramics, drawing and painting, including KS3, GCSE & A level. She has also completed an introductory course in Art Therapy, and supported teachers and students of Art & Photography in an art technician role. Jo is a skilled one-to-one Art tutor of all ages. 
 
Jo sees Art as a valuable tool for self-expression to help young and old become emotionally articulate, confident, and to find their voice creatively. Jo is a freelance artist working in both two and three dimensions, she creates beautiful objects and works of art for people to enjoy.

Sarah Howard

Sarah Howard

Sarah studied Art & Design Foundation at University for the Creative Arts, Epsom and graduated in BA Hons Fashion Studies from the Arts University Bournemouth.

With her creative education Sarah achieved a successful 13 year career within Fashion retail. During this time she worked within buying & marketing, visual merchandising, prop design and making innovative window schemes for UK & Global brands, gaining retail design awards and press acknowledgements for her work.

Sarah currently delivers advice to students as a Disability Adviser for the University of the Arts London. She has supported students in roles at Arts University Bournemouth, Imperial College and UCL. Sarah blends her enthusiasm for inclusive education with her passion for art and design, and guides her students’ creative and professional progress.

Lawrence Mathias

Lawrence Mathias

Lawrence is a highly experienced London based artist and art teacher  working in a range of different media, from visual art to traditional media. After studying English at university his love of art grew and and he began selling his painted work.

Lawrence has exhibited work widely in the UK & Europe, and worked professionally as an artist and art project facilitator for over 25 years. He is an active member of several London art groups. His teaching experience includes working in schools, pupil referral units, and as a workshop leader in projects ranging from wood-carving to murals. In his practice he frequently combines a variety of media in installations & digital platforms.

Lawrence seeks to share the creative arts as widely as possible, whilst connecting with his own exceptional drawing, painting and 3D art skills.

Amy Maxine Younger

Amy Maxine Younger

Amy studied Fine Art at Reigate School of Art, and created her own successful Face Painting business in 2017. She's a member of the International Facepainting Association FACE, and works at corporate and large scale events across South East England. She has attended workshops, entered body painting competitions, and teaches Face Painting courses.

Amy loves making children smile and seeing their pleasure at the designs she creates. She loves seeing adults react in the same way, reminding them they were kids once too! Amy's special event skills, brilliant customer service, and in depth understanding of engaging young children originate in her own experience of being a mum of two daughters, and from all her exciting party ventures!  ​

Robyn Winfield

Robyn Winfield

Inspired by her artistic father, Robyn studied a variety of Art subjects at college from painting and figure drawing to photography and textile design. Robyn qualified in Interior Design then further studies in Public Relations led to a career in Marketing. For Robyn this was a corporate job made in heaven – she could stay close to her love of all things creative and work closely with design teams.

Robyn first joined Inner Art as a student and immediately loved the easy-going and inspiring atmosphere. Now as an Inner Art Tutor she encourages others to let their creative juices flow and have fun exploring different techniques and mediums. Her inner glow is contagious and her thoughtful approach is inspiring in itself!

Alice Brewer

Alice Brewer

Art has always been an intrinsic part of Alice's world. She grew up surrounded by creative thinkers, then studied Art Foundation at Kingston School of Art, and progressed to her BA Hons in Graphic Design.

Alice's own artistic practice is focused around experimental drawing and photography. In addition, she enjoys collaborating with community groups focusing on regeneration and improved public experience in London.

Alice's teaching experience ranges from from KS3, A Level Art, to BTEC Graphic Design, crafting workshops for adults and children, and one to one tuition. Alice has extensive experience working in childcare. She uses her deep understanding of creative development to offer a full range of excellent learning experiences for students young and old.

 

Calvin Bunyan

Calvin Bunyan

Having grown up in an artistic family, Calvin followed an unconventional study path. After completing an Art Foundation at Amersham School of Art and Design he studied in a working art studio under a practising fine art painter and sculptor.

After gaining a certification in Education, Calvin tutored on the Art Foundation Course at Croydon School of Art and Design where he progressed to Head of Foundation Studies. He specialises in still life, life drawing, multi media, wood, metal, plastics and ceramics.

Calvin has his own art studio workshop to continues to produce his own creative works. He knows learning to draw and developing artistic talent is a matter of attitude, approach and practise. He provides art students with a grounding and authentic art learning experience not to be missed.

 
Katie Beth Hooper

Katie Beth Hooper

Katie Beth is a passionate Art tutor who believes art is for all, and art can make a fundamental difference to our lives. She has taught Art and Photography in schools and colleges for over 15 years, and was a Deputy Head of House for 6 of those. Katie Beth ensures students have a fulfilling and professional experience through her creative working methods, prioritizing  transferrable learning skills and enabling life long learning.

Katie Beth undertook both her Art foundation and Illustration degree at Kingston University, and completed her Art & Design PGCE at Brighton University. She specialises in oil painting and life drawing, and has travelled extensively in Europe on location drawing trips.
